Injustice Gods Among us rDC Announced the upcoming animated movie, Injustice: Gods Among Us, strangely in a press release for Batman: The Long Halloween.

DC seems to have listened to fans as this has been a long-wanted feature. The game was set in a very dark alternative DC universe and the movie has so much to build on.

They usually do pretty well on the animation side of things, so we have high hopes for this one! It will be a direct-to-home release as well, so it should be easy to watch for everyone who wants to catch it.

That also doesn’t really mean anything for production value or budget, as some even bigger blockbusters are being released directly to home as well.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Animated Movie Announced

Injustice Gods Among us 2In this alternate universe, the Joker set up a scheme to turn Superman into a megalomaniac and tyrant on Earth. Who else would come to the rescue other than Batman? The game came out back in 2013 and people have been hoping for a follow-up for a long time. The game has had plenty of spin-offs in comics and a sequel to bring the story to its completion.

With all the source material we hope they compile it amazingly into a single movie!

The first trailer being released for the upcoming movie will be in the extras of the Blu-ray release of Batman: The Long Halloween. They basically gave no other info at this time, but let’s hope we see more before too long and get an idea of what to expect!

Are you excited for a new movie based in that universe? Will you be picking up Batman: The Long Halloween?
