Top 40k Army Lists Branson Brawl GT 2021
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
3rd Place: Mark Cimmerian – Drukhari
2nd Place: Jason Rogers – Death Guard
1st Place: Death Guard – Jony Velazquez
This list was full of dreads and Terminators! First up though, the HQ slots were taken by a Sorceror in Terminator armor and a Lord of Contagion. It looks like they didn’t want to spend too heavily on the HQ as they only took up 250 points. Though, the Sorceror is a nice touch for that little bit of psychic power.
Next, the troops were mainly filled by 30 Poxwalkers, perfect for sitting on objectives and just being really annoying all game. They also make the perfect screening units for the more elite units.
The elites spots are where tons of points were dedicated to. In the form of 2 Contemptor Dreadnoughts, and three squads of Deathshourd. This gives the list some insane toughness, CC power, and decent shooting. As both dreads were armed with serious shooting power and the Deathshroud can just sweep through all kinds of foes.
The Foetid Bloat-drones armed with Fleshmowers can really fly across the table and destroy infantry. With the Deathshroud running at you, most people will probably ignore them, because ignoring the termies is a hard thing to do. Lastly, the Plagueburst Crawler finishes off the firepower support.
Death Guard victory- Congrats to Jony on the win!
Death Guard has won this time, but what do you think about all three of these most recent lists?
