New Stormcasts & Kruleboyz Warscroll Rules Revealed!

stormcast-kruelboyz-battletomeWith the books finally hitting shelves soon GW revealed the Stormcast and Kruleboyz Warscroll rules for the new units coming out.

It feels like we’ve been seeing these minis for ages now, so seeing what they can do is actually pretty sweet. There are actually four warscrolls in total to go over today, so a decent amount of stuff! These are all for the units coming out his week, so if you want to see all that and the pricing, you can check that out here.

Warhammer Community just unveiled the warscrolls and a couple of other little mechanics that work well with them. Let’s get into it!

Kruleboyz Warscroll Rules

Kruleboyz warscrollThanks to the Breaka-harness ability, you can inflict D3 wounds to your Mirebrute Troggoth, sending it into a blind rage, with each wound giving you two extra attacks with its iron-bound club on top of the four it already gets.

At -2 Rend, and an immense 3 Damage, a rampaging Mirebrute is no laughing matter. Plus, the troggoth can regenerate D3 wounds a turn, meaning this brute is going to stick around.

This has some really cool rules honestly, with being able to wound itself and then gain up to six attacks. Then, you can just regenerate those wounds and do it again next combat phase! This could get you up to 10 attacks with rend -2 and 3 damage each!

Supa SneakyIf you can pull this off and grab the first turn with Breaka-boss, you can start dealing damage early on!

Beast-skewer Killbow

Kruleboyz warscroll 2This crude but potent ballista fires huge bolts specially designed to pierce the tough hides of giant creatures. With its Skewered rule, the bigger your target, the more wounds this vicious weapon inflicts.

You really need to be shooting this at big monsters. If you shoot it at something with high wounds, you can really wrack up the wounds with a 2+ to hit and a 3+ to wound.

Only Da BestThis works perfectly with the Skewer and can bring its range to 27″.

Nasty HexIf your opponent has any threats hiding behind a pesky ward save, why not strip them of that safety net with Nasty Hex? Now you can ensure your savage bolts don’t find their impact blunted.

This is a really strong spell, getting rid of Ward saves is going to be big in AoS.

Stormstrike Chariot

Stormstrike chariotNot only are these units fast, but they pack a punch and soak up a lot of attention with their high Wounds. When they do get up close and personal, those adorable Gryph-chargers deliver a whopping six attacks with -2 Rend, making this a powerhouse in a relatively small package.

The chariot has some interesting rules and can deal damage at range or in CC. It really wants to be charging though because when you do, the enemy will be at -1 to hit you but the mortal wounds are where it really gets nice. If you roll high on your charge roll, like a 10, you should be doing 5 mortal wounds just for charging!

Driven by VengeanceWith the number of attacks the chariot has, it just makes your charges that much more deadly.

Knight-Judicator

Knight-judiciarThe loyal Gryph-hounds act as their own unit once deployed, roaming wide to keep their master free from distractions so he can pop away with his whopping great bow.

The missile weapon is pretty insane, with a 30″ range, 2 attacks, -3 rend, and 3 damage this will chip away well throughout the game. Then, the Gaze of Sigmar is just insane, if you can get four or five units with this, it can seriously dish out the damage. Plus, the Gryph-Hounds can go off on their own and support where needed.
