New GW Rumor Engine Goes Straight to Davy Jones Locker

Rumor Engine new GW header wal horA new GW rumor engine is here that looks like a skeleton ship bow for Deepkin or perhaps something else…

Games Workshop just unveiled another rumor engine and this time it looks like the bottom of a new skeleton ship!

Check out the details of the latest model that looks to be on the way for 40k or AoS from Warhammer Community.

Straight to Davy Jones Locker: GW Rumor Engine

Right away this bit is instantly recognizable as the bottom of a boat. Due to the nature of boats, it’s also much more likely to be terrain or a model in AoS instead of 40k. It then becomes a balancing act of whether Nagash is going to take on the seas, or if Idoneth Deepkin might receive a new model after only receiving a Warband and a bundle for quite a long time.

There are easy connections to make to Idoneth Deepkin, as they are more or less the premier sea-based faction. Their current lineup uses mostly sea-creatures, but adding in a boat does still fit their aesthetic.

If it does end up being some Nagash cronies, we might see the “Vampire Coast” enter the fray as a new AoS faction or sub-faction. After the hit that was/is Total War: Warhammer II, it’s easy to see why GW might want to incorporate more of those hit DLC factions to take advantage of the game’s success and hype, by updating some to the current era.

Of course, it could also be another possibility, or surprise us all and even be for a different game system…
