The Ossiarch Bonereapers have many different groups and castes in their society. Among the more powerful is the Mortisan caste and their Soulreapers!
Many of these wizards and mages take to the battlefield to support their martial brethren. One of the most common are the Mortisan Soulreapers, powerful wizards armed with mighty Soulreaper Scythes and a plethora of spells. Their sharp and imposing scythe is the least of the worries for a foe. Because the Mortisan Soulreapers can snatch and capture the spirits from their foes for eternity.
IN THE WORLD
Mortisan Soulreapers are considered the lowest and weakest of the Mortisan caste’s wizards. Not because of their lack of destructive power, but the lack of restorative power. They can only harvest souls, not create new Ossiarch Bonereapers using their captured souls. Many other kinds of wizards are able to do this, giving their society a steady supply of new members. This isn’t a weakness however, the Mortisan Soulreapers are built for war and destruction, thus they are more adept in taking souls than other Mortisan caste members.
On the battlefield, their purpose is seen at the forefront. Their Soulreaper Scythe sways back and forth through enemy ranks. Harvesting massive swathes of souls in a bloody display of Ossiarch martial prowess. The ghostly screams of the tormented souls echoing through the area. Even foes who are safe from the Soulreaper Scythe are doomed. Furthermore, the Mortisan Soulreapers is able to use violent Shyishan magic to rip and tear the souls from any distant foe. Storing them in hollow soultraps for later use.
ON THE FIELD
On the Tabletop of the Mortal Realms, Mortisan Soulreapers are a leader option for any Ossiarch Bonereapers army. With their 5 wounds and 4+ save they’re a sturdy wizard for your army. They only cost 120 points, so they are rather cheap as well. The Mortisan Soulreapers posses a bravery of 10. Which makes them a very tough nut to crack. Because of their destructive nature these stats allow them to fight on the fronts and not worry too much about dying quickly. However, they must still be protected by mighty shields and support units.
Mortisan Soulreapers are equipped with their mighty Soulreaper Scythes. These weapons have a big range of 2”, 3 attacks, a -1 rend, and even deal 2 damage. All these things combined make these cursed Scythes a force to be reckoned with. Furthermore, Soulreaper Scythes have the Deathly Touch ability. With this ability any unmodified hit roll of 6 deals 2 mortal wounds on the target. Moreover, with their Soulreaper ability they can re-roll hit rolls for attacks against an enemy unit with 5 or more models.

Of course, Mortisan Soulreapers are more than just scythe-wielding maniacs. They are powerful and deadly wizards first and foremost. Of all the spells it knows, Soul-blast is the most powerful. As it draws upon the souls captured inside of their soultraps. Soul-blast has a casting value of 7. When successfully cast you can roll a dice for an enemy unit within either 3” or 18” from the Soulreaper. On a 2-3 the target receives a mortal wound and, on a 4+ it receives D3 mortal wounds. Quickly dispatching even the toughest of foes.
Mortisan Soulreapers are the most destructive wizards in the Bonereaper legions.
