Another off-meta Warhammer 9th Edition 40k army list emerged in the FactoruM GT October, check this one out!

9th Edition’s meta is again in flux, but some players are taking lists with units that nobody was expecting. Check out this awesome homebrew list that emerged in a tournament over the weekend. This just goes to show us that sometimes it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.

FactoruM GT October: Michael Costello – Night Lords

chaos wal

factorum homebrew 1At the head of Michaels’s Night Lord Battalion is a Chaos Lord, Daemon Prince, and Sorcerer. The chaos Lord offers some firepower and re-rolls, while the Sorcerer helps by adding in psychic powers. However, the Daemon Prince does both and packages it into a killing machine!

Troops start off with 10 Cultists for extra bodies and 10 Chaos Space Marines for studier bodies and better weapons for a price.

factorum homebrew 2Elites bring in two Contemptor Dreads for help culling chaff and being super durable armor-threats. Then there are five Chosen all running Melee options for some heavy-hitting units. The last Elite choice is five Terminators running Combi for the extra multi-purpose ranged weapons.

Fast Attack Start off with a Dreadclaw Drop Pod for the protection and flexibility it can give to some of the foot soldiers, either to focus fire a unit or an objective. There are also 12 Warp Talons for their great mobility and clean-up threat.

Heavy Support brings in a Sicaran Battle Tank for a ton of extra shots and mobility of being a vehicle, while the list closes with 5 Havocs running Lascannons for some anti-armor ranged-fire.

This list just goes to show us that fluffy lists can still perform decently, but you still have to play it correctly!
