The Wheel of Time Series is set to premiere on Amazon today with the first three episodes available!
Whether you wanted a TV adaptation to happen, it’s basically here. The much-anticipated series starring Rosamund Pike has been in development for 20 years (well at least the idea has been).
With so much source material to go off, we’re not sure how they will pack it in. Let’s just hope it doesn’t have the same fate as the Sword of Truth show and goes more like the first seasons of GoT. Either way, we don’t have long to wait now to see how the show starts off!
Wheel of Time Series Premieres Today!
The Robert Jordan epic will be hitting the screen on Amazon on the 19th with the first 3 episodes available and then new episodes will be hitting weekly from then on. To watch you’ll obviously need an Amazon subscription, but most people have that by now.
The first season is set for 8 episodes in total, so with the first three airing now, it will only take another five weeks for the series to reach completion. If you’re itching to know what the episodes will be about, we at least have the names of the first six:
- Episode 1 – Leavetaking
- Episode 2 – Shadow’s Waiting
- Episode 3 – A Place of Safety
- Episode 4 – The Dragon Reborn
- Episode 5 – Blood Calls Blood
- Episode 6 – The Flame of Tar Valon
- Episode 7 – ??
- Episode 8 – ??
Other than that, we know the episodes will run about an hour each. With 14 books to go off, we’re not sure how they can really cover that much of the series, but we do know the first three episodes will mainly be introducing the characters and seeing them set off on their journey.
