Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: The NOTTINGHAM GT

40k-army-lists-freshThe NOTTINGHAM GT happened over the weekend with some pretty sweet 40k army lists towards the top!

The top overall players were a lot of the same stagnant meta that has hung over tournaments like the ghost of the Knight Castellan, so we’re featuring some of the more unique lists that placed high instead!

Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves. If you want to check out details from the event, you can here.

If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.

Andrew Bourbon 1Andrew’s Grey Knights were played as a Patrol and Outrider, with the first being led by a Librarian for psychic support and a Grand Master in Dreadknight, because it is a powerhouse of a unit for both combat and support, being able to fight and beat nearly anything all while providing support with psychic powers if needed. Troops bring in a 5 man Strike Squad, which is just for some bodies to help out a little in combat and when grabbing objectives.

Heavy Support closes out the Patrol with 2 of the non-HQ Nemesis Dreadknights, which are very similar to the Grand Master Variant, but most notably missing a few support abilities as he isn’t a leader like his big brother.

The Outrider is led by a second Grand Master Dread and Castellan Crowe, who is a fantastic Melee hero with the ability to always fight before being removed from play.

Fast Attacks bring in 30 Interceptors, which are the mobility options for Grey Knights, being good for clearing out damaged squads of claiming the far away Objectives for some easy points.

Andrew Bourbon 3Lastly, there is one final Dread, bringing the functional total up to 5, which is common thanks to them being the best unit for the faction.

Looks like going forward with the Chapter Approved 2022 changes, Andrew will only be able to bring one brotherhood!
