Eldritch Omens Box Set $200Eldritch Omens Box Set

There’s plenty to say about this excellent battlebox – and there’s not long left to wait to get your hands on the 16 miniatures split between two forces. 15 of these are brand new and currently only available in this box, and one is a classic Forgefiend, which you can also build as a melee-focused Maulerfiend.

The Aeldari half is commanded by the new multi-part Autarch. This unmatched warrior boasts a smorgasbord of loadout options, befitting one who has walked every Path of the Warrior and emerged with the skills to pay the bills.

Fifteen of the sixteen models get a facelift in this Eldritch Omens box set. It’s a very exciting day for Chaos and Eldar players as we haven’t seen an update in their sculpts in years, these do not disappoint!

Aeldari box half

They’re backed up by five detailed Rangers, complete with cameleoline cloaks, nasty long rifles, and plenty of kit choices. Three Shroud Runners add a dash of mobility, placing Rangers on speedy new Raptor jetbikes to snipe targets before screaming off into the distance.

Shroud Runners with snipers attached is a nasty combination! Seeing those rangers hit the table is going to give Eldar a whole new vibe on the battlefield.

Chaos Box Half

He’s backed up by five surly new Chosen. Decked out with vicious weaponry and ornate armour, these elite Heretic Astartes are determined to give the Aeldari a terrible time. With a Forgefiend at their side, that might not be too remote a prospect.

Eldritch Omens Book

Eldritch Omens also contains a 32-page booklet featuring datasheets, narrative missions, and a new Theatre of War for you to play out the battle for the Maiden world of Daethe. You’ll also get over 700 transfers, split between Aeldari emblems and Chaos Legion logos, which will let you detail your forces however you choose.

The story behind this box ties into the current Nachmund season of Warhammer 40,000, doubling as an excellent place to get started with either army, and a great narrative hook for the current season

You won’t need the speed of a Shroud Runner to put your pre-order in next week. Eldritch Omens comes with a Pre-order Weekend Promise, so if you pre-order this box at any point during the weekend, you’re guaranteed to receive a copy, even if we have to make more to get it to you.

So the good news here is they are putting this on pre-order guarantee, which is a great thing. The problem is that none of GW’s box sets have sold out since hobbyists started catching on to their excessive FOMO and paywall sales tactics starting with Kill Team Pariah Nexus.

Depending on who you ask, it seems like they just arbitrarily raised the price of this box from $170 they charged just one month ago for Shadowthrone to $200 because… well I guess new miniatures?

Whether or not this box sells out will be a great test to see if consumer confidence in Games Workshop is back, or if the offering of a box of all new miniatures is not enough to get hobbyists to spend their hard-earned dollars on Valentines day weekend…

Also available this week on pre-order is something a little bigger…

JOYTOY Invictor Tactical Warsuit

This 1:18 scale action figure from JOYTOY represents an Invictor Tactical Warsuit of the Ultramarines Chapter. The figure towers over the JOYTOY Space Marines, standing proud at 30cm high and 26cm wide, with an impressive 45 points of articulation, including a fully detailed cockpit that can be opened and closed. The Invictor is studded with weapons, including a twin ironhail autocannon, fragstorm grenade launcher, heavy bolter, twin ironhail heavy stubber, and invictor fist. The pilot stands 12cm tall, just like his JOYTOY brethren, and he can be dismounted to operate independently. He’s armed and armoured as an Infiltrator, complete with bolt carbine, bolt pistol, and removable pouches and power pack.

The Invictor Tactical Warsuit and pilot are made of ABS PVC and POM plastic polymer. The paintwork features additional layers of detail, including Chapter and vehicle markings, and incorporates edge highlighting to add depth and realism.

This bad boy popped up on Games Workshop as a “made to order” item. Is it time to make room in your display cases for this one?

He’s on MTO order until February 6th, 2022 and will be delivered within 6 months to folks that order it directly from GW. However, as we said above you can order one right now and have it shipped to you from Asia in way less time by clicking here.

Pariah $16 Paperback (Free on Audible Premium Plus)

Pariah

The city of Queen Mab is built on twists and turns, mysteries and mendacity. Fitting, then, that Alizebeth Bequin finds herself here, embroiled within a serpentine plot. In this city of shades, Bequin is caught between two former allies – Gregor Eisenhorn and Gideon Ravenor.

As the line between friend and foe shifts and blurs, Bequin calls on help from a disparate group of allies to unpick the mysteries of her past so she can survive the present.

Dan Abnett’s Pariah, the first entry in the Bequin series, will be available for pre-order in paperback next week, though customers in Australia and New Zealand will have to wait a little longer.

Caught in the middle of Eisenhorn and his ideal apprentice Ravenor, Bequin is sounding like a thriller that could quickly become a favorite in the Black Library community.
