The new Warhammer 40k Eldar Combat Patrol has been spotted and there could be some value inside- check it out!
GW has done this so far with every codex, where they have a picture of the patrol in the book, then later reveal the box as a product. For the most part, they have always matched up and this time it does for certain as Warhammer Community just confirmed the box.
Remember these are mostly designed for new players to the factions just like the old Start Collecting Sets that GW introduced back in 2016. They are being marketed as a quick way to get a small force on the table and play some small games right away.
Most times the starter-style kits are a pretty good value, so even if you have some Eldar already, this could be a decent value. They also announced the box will be dropping in April 2022, so a bit of time before you can pick it up. Let’s check out the box and value.
40k Eldar Combat Patrol Box: What is the Value?
From the looks of it, this is a decent box with some good units but is very jetbike heavy, so if you don’t want any in your army, then this probably isn’t for you.
Still, we assume there will be decent value inside, but we’ll break it down below. Let’s see what kind of value you can expect, but keep in mind, the boxes are going up $10 from the original $140. So we’ll use that as the price point.
- Wraithlord $60 (went up with the recent price increases)
- Windriders $110 ($55 for each box after increases)
- Guardians $55
- Farseer $32
Total MSRP: $257
Savings Versus Box Price: $107
Is The Eldar Combat Patrol Worth It?
So overall, this will save you some a pretty solid amount, but again, you better want the jetbikes! If you don’t then this really isn’t worth it to you. Either way, you are basically getting the Wraithlord and the Farseer for free.
Also, GW mentioned the Thousand Sons and the Grey Knights boxes will hit shelves in March 2022, so look for those very soon!
