1st Place: Gavin Heritage – Adeptus Mechanicus

Gavin Heritage 1In case the 40k meta forgot, Gavin is here to remind us that Ad Mech are still good! He went with a single battalion led by a Tech-Priest Dominus, providing a hit re-roll and healing every turn, and a Technoarcheologist, which provides more healing and allows a unit to shoot while attempting an action.

Troops bring in 5 Breacher squads for a much more elite group of bodies than what we usually see with ranger spam. This means they pack a bigger punch and are more durable, but unfortunately can’t really fill the same role of chaff to protect more important things.

Gavin Heritage 2Elites start off with 15 Electro-Priests which serve as some reasonably priced melee units that can throw down when needed to. There are also 2 Cybernetica Datasmiths, which have synergy with the upcoming Kastelan Robots!

Speaking of which, closing out the list are 2 Kastelan Robot Squads for a total of 10 robots. These are very elite and efficient threats that can smack models around in melee or dish out a beating with their phosphor Blasters that deal 2 damage a shot.

With that, the list is done! The more elite version of Ad Mech seems interesting and maybe more people will pick up this strategy for the faction going forward.
