There’s a picture a possible new Imperial Knights Combat Patrol, but it’s quite strange- will it have any value?
The new Combat Patrol sets are designed for new players to the factions just like the current Start Collecting boxes, but they seem to be marketed as a quick way to get a small force on the table and play some small games right away.
Oftentimes, the picture of the exact combat patrol that gets released is in the codex, and a lot of the time, we see this picture before we see the actual box release.
However, this time, we hope this isn’t the actual box, and you’ll see why in a minute. It does raise a question though, with such big models, and so few of them, what could they really do for a box without raising the price?
Anyways, let’s check out the possible box and see if there will be any value!
RUMORS: New Imperial Knights Combat Patrol is Quite Strange
While there are only three models here (they would fill the points), the new Imperial Knights codex actually says this consists of 2 boxes of Armigers.
This is from the codex itself, and you can see, that they more or less say this would be made up of 2 boxes of the new Armigers. So, if the price stays the same, would this save you any cash?
Imperial Knight box: Is There Any Value?
- 4x Armigers $170
Total MSRP: $170
Savings Versus $150 Box Price: $20
This would be the lowest value we’ve seen yet if this is the actual box. It just would be hard to actually make a box where you don’t save a ton of money or they have to raise the price.
Because if they did one big knight and two Armigers, the MSRP would be $255, meaning you would save $105. We don’t really see GW doing this, as $20 of value is too little for a Combat Patrol.
We’ll have to wait and see, but don’t be too upset if this is all you get in the box and don’t really save that much.
