Echoes of Doom Unboxing

Echoes of Doom unboxing 2Strangely, the box itself feels sort of cheap, but there are a lot of minis inside!

Echoes of Doom unboxing 3It is nice they put all the rules and cards in this plastic wrap so it doesn’t just fly all over the place.

Instructions

Echoes of Doom unboxing 4Like with everything recently, it’s all color coated, however, they have also started adding more things like where not to glue and such. They also even have a base scale in the instructions, so you know what is what. On the Lady of Vines, there are a few small little parts, but nothing too concerning. Overall, it looks like a pretty fast build.

Echoes of Doom unboxing 5Moving onto the archers, they are pretty simple and while they have some small parts, they don’t seem too hard. However, for the Kurnoth Hunters, they only show you how to build them with bows. Even though the kit comes with swords, and scythes as well.

Echoes of Doom unboxing 6For the Gossamid Archers’ bug backpacks, they don’t have to be on a certain model, which is kind of cool. They also come with a ton of extra pieces, like quivers etc…

Echoes of Doom unboxing 7The design of this is very reminiscent of the Kruleboyz kits. It’s pretty easy looking as there are just mainly left and right halves with no variants.

Sprues

Echoes of Doom unboxing 8The Gossamid Archers have a lot of bits and sprues, so just be sure to really check the instructions when building.

Echoes of Doom unboxing 9The Lady of Vines is just two sections. There is a lot of detail but there is also a lot going on, so be sure you cut these out carefully and very well.

If you’re worried about one of the small vines breaking, you can put some blue-tac behind it and it should keep anything from breaking.

Echoes of Doom unboxing 10The Deathmaster kit is very small, but still quite detailed.

Built Minis

Echoes of Doom unboxing 11

Echoes of Doom unboxing 12The Deathmaster actually looks super dope and just really cool! Overall, it’s super easy to build and there is just so much detail.

Echoes of Doom unboxing 13The Archers are definitely a little fiddly and the bugs backpack is not that easy to put on.

Echoes of Doom unboxing 14The other issue comes on when putting the heads on, as the hair just goes everywhere. You might have a hard time painting around that, Rob would recommend waiting to put the heads on until after painting.

Echoes of Doom unboxing 15

Echoes of Doom unboxing 16She’s on an 80mm base, but she somehow seems smaller than Rob expected. there is still some really cool detail and the model is dynamic, just smaller than Rob expected. Overall, there is some good value in the box, and especially if you’re starting Sylvaneth, it could be worth a pickup.
