It looks like Heroscape is making a triumphant return with a new expansion, the Age of Annihilation- check it out!
The game has been kept alive for over the past decade (as the game was discontinued in 2010) by a very dedicated fanbase, so seeing a new expansion on the way is just a shock and awesome! It was initially released in the early 2000s, but after it was discontinued, there wasn’t much hope left.
Then, like a bolt of lightning, a tweet popped up from Avalon Hill Games announcing the return! While they didn’t release a ton of details, seeing this means we should see the game hopefully before too long! We’ll take a look at the announcement and the old starter set that is going for $300 on Amazon right now and will probably raise in price with this announcement.

Heroscape is cool because you can have models from all settings and time periods, allowing you to play with a WW1 soldier and some insane alien! Then, with the tile setup and dice mechanics, it’s just a really cool game that people still love to this day. We’ll also have to see how they treat the customized stuff people have been coming out with for years now that there is an official release.
They didn’t show off many models, but we captured what they showed.
One big difference from their last line is that these look unpainted minis! While they might have a prepainted version, it looks like the main line will come with unpainted minis. While the view isn’t super close, the models already look pretty wild and awesome!
