Alternative Grey Knights Bits: Liber Daemonica Unboxing

Liber Grey KnightsThese new alternative Liber Daemonica Grey Knights bits are just really awesome and can be used to make entire units!

The hobby maniacs over at Liber Daemonica have been an excellent painting studio for some time now. Recently, they’ve also gone the retail route and added a bits store to their lineup.

Today Rob is taking a look at the site and a bunch of the bits they have to upgrade your army and even build full alternative units!

We are going to show you everything that the kits come with, how long they take to build, and some size comparisons. That way you can decide if these are worth your hard-earned hobby dollars.

Alternative Grey Knights: Liber Daemonica Unboxing

Liber Grey Knights 3Their new site is really well laid out and smooth. They have all kinds of bits on there, and it also has multiple sections for so many different factions!

Liber Grey Knights 3If you want your minis to look a certain way just by using a few of the kits, these are perfect to hobby on. Realistically though, most people will buy the individual bits to really upgrade your forces.
One last thing to note before we get into the bits, they have moved to Estonia, so no issues with shipping or payments.

The Bits

You can see just how detailed they are. You can either use these to build entirely new squads or update your existing ones.

Liber Grey Knights 7If you’re cutting off the little extra bits, Rob recommends putting blue-tac all around the piece you are cutting so that way it absorbs the impact and keeps the piece from going flying.

Liber Grey Knights 9When you get up close to the bodies, weapons, and bits they just look amazing and have so much detail! Again, they are the same price as the plastic kit, but really do look much more specialized. All the other bits look super easy to build as well and just as detailed.

Built Minis

Liber Grey Knights 14These are just so amazing when put together! The detail work on these is stunning, and it goes together in seconds. This is what we think most people will use them for, where you keep the base marine and just add on the bits.

Liber Grey Knights 13It’s also nice that you can use the body with the existing kit, so you can just basically mix or match anything you want.

Liber Grey Knights 15They are perfect if you’re missing an arm or two, might as well make them look better.

Liber Grey Knights 10When you get them all together with full Liber bits they look super dope. They aren’t really cheaper than buying a unit from GW, but they look so much cooler, and that’s where the value really comes in. So even if you can’t afford an entire army of them, just grabbing a few bits to upgrade your army is totally worth it.

Painted Bits

Liber Grey Knights 17Obviously, since they started out as a commission painting company, they have some amazingly painted bits.
