Faces of Warhammer Sticks it to the Haters

faces-of-warhammer-thewargammergirlThe Faces of Warhammer movement shows there’s no place for hate in the hobby, and anyone should feel okay playing!

Honestly, our hobby should not be a place for hate. With so much going on in the world, Warhammer should be a thing we can do to relax and unwind. Most of us like to put our minis on social media, and it seems quite odd to get mad at people for how they share what they love.

If you don’t like their work or have something against the person, you don’t have to be mean- just scroll on by.  It seems like the #facesofwarhammer hashtag movement was started by Thewarhammergirl (pictured in the featured image) and is a great way to show who is behind the projects we see on social media.

We’ve even felt our fair share of hatred within the hobby, but so does anyone who puts themselves out on the internet, as it can be a rough place sometimes.

Also, as Thewarhammergirl said above, the vast majority of the community is very supportive, but sometimes the vocal minority can ruin it for the rest of us.

Especially when newer hobbyists come into the game, it’s great for them to see this. It can be a very daunting hobby, and if people are being mean, it makes it much harder to actually want to join in on the fun!

That’s why having something like this is good for the hobby. If you want to show your support for the project, you can browse all the hobbyists getting involved on each of the social media platforms below:

It takes nothing to add the hashtag to your post, and it can help create a community of support for people who might be dealing with negativity, not only in the hobby but also in helping them have an outlet for other parts of their life.

As you can see, Rob’s post for the hashtag brought some haters out of the woodwork! It seems strange people would get so mad at someone posting a picture with their miniatures Either way #facesofwarhammer is good way to stick it to the haters and show your support and love of the hobby.

What do you think about the Faces of Warhammer hashtag and seeing all the people behind the hobby?
