Blood Angels can still perform as a new homebrew Warhammer 40k army list emerged at the Let Freedom Ring Tournament!
9th Edition’s meta is again in flux, but some players take lists with units that nobody expected. Check out this awesome homebrew list that emerged in a tournament over the weekend. This shows us that sometimes it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.
Let Freedom Ring: Top 40k Homebrew Army List

If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
However, we aren’t covering all those lists. Instead, we will look at just one of our favorites this week.
Let Freedom Ring: Lyle Dixon – Blood Angels 7th Place
Lyle played Bloodangels which isn’t too out of the ordinary, but what is special is his devotion to the mantra “All gas no brakes.” He went for an extremely fast, always moving-forward style of list.
He had two detachments: a Vanguard led by Lemartes and a Sanguinary Priest. Lemartes offers up some great Litany support, while the Priest can help by being very mobile, preventing wound loss, and healing a unit every turn.
Jumping straight into elites, he went for 15 Death Company Marines running 11 Power swords, 4 Thunder Hammers, and 10 Inferno Pistols. These are extremely glass cannons, they will die very easily, but if they make the charge, they will absolutely wreak havoc on whatever they run into.
The other Elites are 20 Sanguinary Guard, which are similarly fast units but with a little more versatility and durability. These can still be shot off the board, but you can have peace of mind knowing that they can stand their own in melee and ranged combat alike.
Fast Attack closes out the first detachment with a five man assault squad for a hint of 5 more mobile bodies.
The second detachment is a Patrol led by Dante, which is a fantastic model character which great stats and weapons, along with rules that make him more durable and allow nearby units to re-roll.
Troop brings in 5 Incursors to fill the role slot, while elites bring in a Snaguiary ancient to help support the 20 bodies from the previous detachment. A unit of Servitors also helps to round out points.
Finally, Fast Attacks bring in 10 more Assault Marines for some more mobile bodies that can match the speed of the rest of the list.
