Tyranids came through with an incredible 5-0 at the KC Summer Slaughter from the weekend, as these Warhammer 40k army lists took the top!
The tournament is final, and now we can look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies.
Tyranids Feast at KC Summer Slaughter: Top Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
3rd Place: Jason Burau – Chaos Space Marines
2nd Place: Joshua Shirley – Black Templars
1st Place: John Indellicate – Tyranids
John’s winning Tyranids were a single battalion led by 2 Neurothropes for psychic support and a Tervigon for a melee threat, and some great Termagaunt synergies.
Troops start off with 10 Gargoyles for a few cheap ranged weapons and 30 Termagants to use in tandem with the Tervigon.
There are also a considerable amount of Warriors! 27 Warriors make up just shy of half the entire list’s points! These models are super versatile with great melee and ranged options all while being on decently durable bodies. These seem to be the list’s answer to any and all problems.
Elites Bring in 3 Zoanthropes, which gives one more psychic power cast and Heavy Support closes out the list with a Biovore, which can pump out some chip wounds and mortals thanks to its Spore Mines spawning rule.
