Squamous Miniatures Patreon 3As we said, these are just really cool files and would make for some of the coolest alternatives out there! Here’s what they have to say about the minis for the month:

Here are some renders of the rewards you will receive if you give me your support during October on the F/V/C (Resin) and All-in tiers. There is a 9.5-figure squad of Desert Corps, on patrol and generally up to no good, making stuff miserable for the locals.
Hold on, 9.5 figures?! Yes, 9.5, as one of the figures comes in two types, normal trooper, or Commander mode. You can pick which one you want, or print both if you’re feeling crazy and don’t care what people say!

The good guys get some speed on the battlefield with the Guerrilla Prex Riders. You get four of the smelly beasts and their Prex mounts. Only joking! Actually, they have been away from base for a while and I bet they are a bit pongy.
Everything has been test printed and comes with themed bases and pre-supported versions of everything for your convenience. The riders are separate from the Prex, for easier painting, and are a snug fit, so be careful when putting them on. I managed it with the judicious use of heat.

Here are some renders of the terrain rewards that you will receive during October if you support me on the Terrain (FDM) and All-in tiers. Everything prints without the need for supports.
First up is the Dampspine Camp with three tethered Dampspine creatures. These are used by various groups as patrol animals through some of the more inhospitable areas of the desert, due to their perfect adaptation and easily tamed nature.
Unfortunately, some of these creatures and their riders often meet with a sudden end, due to the hostile actions of the local tribes, or even off-world troublemakers. This is the subject of the Dead Dampspine and Rider terrain piece. Rest in peace sweet lizard, rest in peace.
A-hem.

Last, but not least (because there are lots of bits of it) is the Desert Palace Hideout: Exterior Set. This set is OpenLOCK compatible (copyright printablescenery.com) and so works with the DPH: Interior Set well. It should also work with the previous sets from the Arctic and SkyCity environments. I’ve orientated everything for what I believe to be best for printing, and there should be no need for supports. I used an infill of 5% for these and a layer thickness of 0.12mm for my test prints, and they worked just fine. I’ll post photos of the prints soon.
