The Magic the Gathering 30th Anniversary Countdown Kit is sold out and is already going for more than double on secondary markets like eBay.
The kit itself obviously got people excited because they said it would be available to order (while supplies last) for three days, but they barely needed an hour to sell them all. It’s not too surprising, as when they put out limited edition stuff, they generally sell out fast, but this is faster than we usually see.
If you did miss out on the initial sale, the cards are already going for double plus on the secondary market, which is also not really surprising.

Thirty years means a set of 30 individually wrapped cards for 30 days of celebratory opening! But what are the cards, you ask? We’ve included one card from each year in Magic’s history, starting with 1993. And it wouldn’t be Secret Lair without cool art, so we’ve gone through our rolodex of Secret Lair collaborators and invited a bunch of them to the party, creating all new looks for every card. But that’s STILL not all—any card you open has a 30% chance (get it?) of being foil, shining as bright as a decorative winter star. Speaking of decorative, we’re throwing in some sticker tabs so you have the option of hanging the boosters around your house!
This is actually a pretty cool set as you get cards for the last few decades, so it makes sense that it went really fast. However, if you still want to grab one, you can still get this.
Hitting the Secondary Market
A few are going for under $300 on eBay right now, but these seem a little rare, as most are well over the $300 mark, with some as high as $500.
As we said, the majority are going for well over $300 on eBay, but if you really want it, it could be worth it.
