Eldar Remain Viable: Hammer In The New Year GT 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
3rd Place: Chris Kieschnik – Blood Angels
2nd Place: Stephen Page – Necron
1st Place: Matt Schuchman– Eldar
Matt’s Eldar had a clean sweep, and he chose to go for two patrols for his army list. The first was the Uthwe Craftworld, led by Eldrad, one of the best psykers in the game and a Farseer Skyrunner for mobile support.
There are five Rangers just to fill the troop requirement, followed by 10 Banshees in Elites for some great melee threats. Fast Attacks brings in three Shroud Runners and five Swooping Hawks for some great and very point-efficient mobile options. A single Falcon wraps up the first patrol for some decent anti-armor.
The second patrol is more Uthwe, this time led by an Avatar of Khaine for a psuedo-primarch level melee threat and Baharroth for another fantastic mobile choice that can do work all over the field.
Troops here are five rangers again for the cheap slot fill, and then Elites bring in 10 Dire Avengers for some decent all-purpose units that don’t break the bank. The list then wraps up with one Vyper and two more Falcons to cap it off.
