New AOS Beasts of Chaos & Gloomspite Gitz: Pricing & Links

While there aren’t many new models this time, both factions are still getting new Battletomes, Vanguard boxes, and a few new units each! We were hoping for a bigger Beasts of Chaos rework; getting a new book and character is better than nothing!

Battletome: Beasts of Chaos Retail Price: $55 (Limited Edition $90)

This 104-page hardback book contains:

– Extensive background material on the Beasts of Chaos, including their primordial roots, predatory herds, and profane rituals
– Loads of savage artwork depicting the gor-kin’s mutant forms and hatred of civilisation
– 34 warscrolls and pitched battle profiles for the Beasts of Chaos, from humble Ungor Raiders to the mighty Beastlord
– Rules for the four mightiest Greatfrays, plus command traits, artefacts of power, spell lores, and battle traits like Beastherd Ambush and Rituals of Ruin
– Path to Glory campaign rules that send you out to claim offerings for your Herdstone, plus two new battleplans and three warscroll battalions for use in narrative play
– Matched play content, including four grand strategies and six battle tactics unique to the Beasts of Chaos

Beastlord Retail Price: $35

This multipart plastic kit builds a Beastlord, a fearsome chieftain of the gor-kin. Armed with a pair of man-ripper axes – just as good for ripping through orruks, aelves, and any other heroes unlucky enough to get in his way – this savage war-leader is decorated with grisly trophies claimed from his rivals. Furred, horned, and musclebound, he’s posed in a bellowing call to battle, extolling the pure savagery and might of the Beasts of Chaos.

This kit comprises 7 plastic components, and is supplied with a Citadel 40mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly

Battletome: Gloomspite Gitz Retail Price: $55 (Limited Edition $90)

This 120-page hardback book contains:

– Extensive background material on the Gloomspite Gitz, including their Gittish Kultures, worship of the Bad Moon, and their many varieties of squig
– Malicious artwork depicting the grots, as well as their arachnoid allies, squig pets, and troggoth muscle
– 43 warscrolls and pitched battle profiles for your grots, from swift Snarlfang Riders to massive Dankhold Troggoths and the cunning Squigboss
– Rules for the five most infamous Gittish Hordes, plus command traits, artefacts of power, spell lores, and battle traits like Under the Light of the Bad Moon and Beasts of the Loonlairs
– Path to Glory campaign rules that send you exploring the Mortal Realms for mushrooms to make powerful new fungus brew, plus a new battleplan and eight warscroll battalions for use in narrative play

Alongside the Beasts, there’s the Gitz, in all of their squig herding glory. These little guys pack in a ton of character, so it’s an easy faction to like.

Squigboss with Gnasha-squig Retail Price: $33.50

This multipart plastic kit builds a Squigboss with Gnasha-squig – a nasty little grot accompanied by a fang-filled familiar. The Squigboss is armed with a vicious squig-krook which they use to prod squigs and enemies alike into submission, and wears a fancy armoured face-plate – matching their very angry Gnasha-squig! This squiggy strategist uses their mastery of mushrooms to keep squigs fed and frenzied, with a handy shroom-satchel slung around their back and stuffed with fungus.

Also getting a new character, the Gitz new model looks noticeably more menacing. Something about that Iron mask…

Snarlfang Riders Retail Price: $60

This multipart plastic kit builds five Snarlfang Riders – ferocious beasts with diminutive grot riders. Each Snarlfang Rider can be built aiming their grot bow or brandishing their stikka to spear the foe, with the other weapon stowed on their back. The kit includes components to build riders as a Gitboss champion waving a crooked scimitar, a Horn Blaster musician, and a Gitflag Waver, as well as loads of interchangeable components that allow you to mix and match shields, heads, and wolf-tail tassles. These Gitmobbers stand out amongst the Gloomspite Gitz, making for a fun unit to build, paint, and add variety to your grotty horde.

This kit comprises 114 plastic components, and is supplied with 5x Citadel 60x35mm Oval Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and requires assembly

New cavalry is always welcome, and these Snarlfangs look strikingly like some popular LOTR units and the Wolf Riders from Warhammer Fantasy.
