New Vallejo Game Color 2.0 Hitting Stores This Spring

Vallejo Game color Range featureIt looks like the new Vallejo Game Color 2.0 line will be hitting stores this Spring with a full release to US retail stores!

About a month ago, Vallejo debuted more about what the paints will look like, but now we have some release date details! The line has been designed with the base, shadow, and light concepts in mind, meaning you can just pick a triad and get started on your painting!

This also uses a different formula than what they usually do, and they promise better coverage and are easier to use. Let’s take a closer look.

From Vallejo.

Vallejo Game color RangeThe bottles will hit retailers tentatively in February 2023, with 150+ new colors and retail for $3.99 for the normal colors and $4.99 for the Xpress Color. All the bottles will be available in 18ml bottles. Also, if you run a store, there will be two racks available, Game Color Complete Range with Rack (153 colors and seven auxiliaries; MSRP $3,567.56), and Fantasy Colors Complete Range with Rack (153 colors, seven auxiliaries, and 48 aerosols; MSRP $4,285.39).

We also heard they are brighter because they are using resin binder and resin handling, but we’ve also heard more from them about the new line.

Vallejo Game color Range 3

Developed by our experts together with professional modelers, the new range implies a further step in the evolution of miniature painting by offering an intuitive and easy-to-learn painting method to new generations.

The color chart is pretty massive; nothing wrong with having more colors at your disposal!

The range has been designed according to the BSL (Base, Shadow, Light) figure paint system, based on chromatically compatible groupings of three colors, which offers the less experienced painters for an easy choice of colors (shades) to paint miniatures with the appropriate highlights and shadows for each base color.

Angel Giraldez did a great video on using some of the Xpress Colors with the Airbrush, too recently, which you can watch below.

Will you pick any of the new Vallejo game color paints when they come out?
