  • 【Low Shrinkage & High Precision】Phrozen Aqua Resins are developed for low shrinkage and high precision printing. Their low warpage & dimensional stability are especially good for precise parts.
  • 【Low Viscosity & Low Odor】Phrozen Aqua Resins are easy to print and are easily post-processed due to their low viscosity. Meanwhile, their low odor will not make your place smell.
  • 【Wide Application】Printed parts are tough and resilient. Phrozen Resins make them a perfect match not only for painted models but also for industrial applications.

The Context

Phrozen Resin 8k 3Fauxhammer is a miniature painter and plays tabletop games! So, he’s going to do this review through that lens. So, we’ll talk a little about printing bigger models, but the main focus will be printing things out for miniatures you can actually play on the tabletop.

His Thoughts on Phrozen 8k Colored Resin for Miniatures

Phrozen Resin 8k 4Let’s start with some of the things he doesn’t like, especially in terms of printing tabletop miniatures:

  • The resin is brittle, and he doesn’t think it would hold up to tabletop gaming.
  • If you’re painting your minis, the color doesn’t really make a difference, as you just prime and paint the models anyway.
  • The quality is hard to tell the difference once you paint them up due to the size.
  • The exposure time varies among the different colors.

Phrozen Resin 8k 5Now onto what he does like about it:

  • The quality is great if you’re printing large models and display pieces.
  • If you aren’t going to paint something, having a bust in color is more interesting than gray.
  • It can do everything an 8k printer is designed for.

Final Thoughts

Phrozen Resin 8k 6He’s not sure if this is worth the extra money if you’re printing tabletop miniatures. If all you’re printing is really large models and busts, it might be worth it.

Overall, just pick something you like for resin and start printing with it!
