More allocations have been announced from Games Workshop to stores for this week’s new Boarding Patrols, but at least the new Strike Force Agastus is safe.
It looks like allocations are back again for new Warhammer 40k releases, and these allocations are insanely tight (Games Workshop calls them “caps”). On top of that, they will compound with last week’s allocations. There is some good news, though as some items are not capped, and one is back and available for stores to order from last week.
Either way, all the stores and groups we polled reported that their orders were once again slashed numbers-wise for many of the new releases this week. This is also the fourth week in a row with tight allocations, so at this point, it seems to officially be a trend from Games Workshop headed into spring.
For now, though, let’s check out what goes on pre-order this week that’s affected and look at how many of each will be available.
GW Hamstrings Stores Again With More Allocations This Week…
Here are the caps that were told to stores:
- Chaos Space Marins Boarding Patrol: Only one each per store
- Tyranids Boarding Patrol: Only one each per store
Luckily this time, the Space Marines Agastus box is not limited, but it has been panned a little by the community, so we’ll see how it goes. These caps are tighter than last week regarding how many are available and considering there weren’t too many releases, we could see where this is a little annoying for consumers and stores alike…
There is more good news, though, as GW is allowing stores to order the Imperial Guard Combat Patrol from last week as a restock, which is better than nothing.
However, we’ve talked a lot about how GW is already behind with restocks, so this will add more orders to the queue and probably contributes to backing up the warehouse and stores all in one go.
