arkham-asylum-no-KS-logoCheck out Rob’s first look and unboxing of the new Knight Models Arkham Asylum board game that is full of Batman models!

This new Gamefound project will be all about the bad guys and seeing if you can’t escape to the streets to cause chaos again. If you can’t tell from the name, the game will follow the villains on their way out of the Asylum, and at the end, you might even get to fight the big old bat.

Here’s a look at some of what you’ll get, the models inside, and even what some of the gameplay will look like. Let’s check it out!

Knight Models Arkham Asylum Project: Unboxing

knight models escape from Arkham 2While this is a little different than what we usually unbox, Knight Models has always come out with cool stuff. Just remember, though, this is all a prototype. So the models are not the finished product, so Rob won’t focus too much on them, as they will look different once the game officially comes out.

knight models escape from Arkham 4Again, these are not the finished products, but they are about the same size as the Batman Game minis they already have out there. Either way you will get a ton of models inside with all the villains, orderlies, and guards.

knight models escape from Arkham 5The SWAT duders are cool, and the detail looks like it will be insane once this gets all ready to go.

knight models escape from Arkham 6There will be more character cards than this, but you get a ton of accessories with this. This game is like a scavenger hunt to get out of the Asylum and just seems fun.

Quick Start

knight models escape from Arkham 7The game seems very easy to understand, and it won’t take long to get into it. The first mission is a little easier to get you into the game. You have to go around the Asylum and steal stuff so you can escape.

You, at one point, even have to steal a hook from someone so you can zip line away. With how they laid it all out, you should be able to jump right into it.

Game board

knight models escape from Arkham 8The game board evolves and is a little unsettling (in a good way) because it just grows on its own. It can be played by up to five players, so you get extra villains and additional guards. The board evolves from here and really helps the game fun for many playthroughs.

Components

knight models escape from Arkham 9The game comes with a decent amount of accessories. The card up top tracks the game with your turns, achievements, etc… The other cards are for the random mobs you encounter with the minis. Then there are character cards for the bigger characters of the game.

knight models escape from Arkham 10There are tons of trackers and dice for the rest of the accessories. It looks like with everything going on, you’ll get tons of playthroughs without ever being overly complicated.

There are also action tokens and priority tokens; each character has different strengths and weaknesses. It looks pretty intuitive overall with how they laid everything out.

A Closer Look at the Minis

knight models escape from Arkham 11For the last time, we can all understand these are prototypes. The minis are pretty cool even in this stage and stack up much size-wise compared to the trusty Primaris.

knight models escape from Arkham 13The guards are actually really dope, and they actually look like they could do some damage!

knight models escape from Arkham 2Overall looks like it will be enjoyable and if you’re looking for a new game, go lock in your own right now on Gamefound!
