More Warhammer 40k allocations have been announced from Games Workshop, including this week’s Boarding Patrols and Wrath of the Soul Forge King box set…
It looks like allocations are back again for new Warhammer 40k releases, and these numbers are so all over the place; it’s just insane.
Either way, all the stores and distributors we polled reported that their orders were once again slashed numbers-wise (for some boxes) for many of the new releases this week. This is also the sixth week with allocations, so at this point, it seems to officially be a trend from Games Workshop headed into summer.
For now, though, let’s check out what goes on pre-order this week that’s affected and look at how many of each will be available.
New Games Workshop Warhammer 40k Allocations Are All Over the Place
- Wrath of the Soul Forge King: 100 per store!
- New Boarding Patrols (4 boxes): 1 per store
- Typhon Heavy Siege Tank: 2 per store
- New Black Library books: 2 per store
- Arks of Omen: Vashtorr: 75 per store!
Well, this time, the allocations are just wild. As the Wrath of the Soul Forge King doesn’t even really have a cap, as not too many stores were going to get more than 100 anyway.
However, we go to the other end of the spectrum with the new Boarding Patrol boxes, where stores can only get one of each, which is basically nothing and really hampers stores. Then, the Typhon Seige Tank is only two, which is basically nothing as well.
So overall, it just looks like GW made an insane number of the Soul Forge boxes, and didn’t make much of anything else (well, other than the Arks of Omen book). Overall, this is a very interesting look into how Games Workshop values certain boxes and items over others.
