Final Two Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols Announced By GW

Leagues-of-Votann-and-the-Agents-of-the-Imperium-boarding-patrolThe final two Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols, for the Leagues of Votann and the Agents of the Imperium have been announced by GW.

These are sort of like small Combat Patrol boxes explicitly made to be fielded for the new Boarding Actions. So, expect them all to have a lot of foot sloggers.

This is the final set or wave of Boarding Patrol box sets we’ve seen so far, and while the Space Marines one sells for $110, we know they will not all go for the same price as the Chaos and Tyranids boxes were $125 and some have even sold for $140.

So we’ll take a look at the possible values soon.

Final Boarding Patrols

Pretty much everyone seems to have climbed aboard the Boarding Actions train, but there are a few factions still patiently awaiting their turn. That turn has now come – open the airlocks for the Leagues of Votann and Imperial Agents.

It’s nice to see the Agents of the Imperium actually getting another box, and it has a ton of models inside! Then, it only makes sense Votann grabs a box as well.

There’s much profit to be found in the esoteric salvage secreted aboard these rotting void-barges – and you can acquire it for the glory of your own Hold with five cybernetically-enhanced Cthonian Beserks, five diamond-hard Einhyr Hearthguard, and 10 geared-up Hearthkyn Warriors, all led by a proud Einhyr Champion.

This box works well with the army set because the only real crossover is the Harthkyn Warriors (but who doesn’t need more?) and an Einhyr Champion, so it could be a decent pickup even if you have the army box.

Final Boarding Patrols 3

Appropriately enough, this hefty Boarding Patrol is all about the Imperial Navy. It contains a whopping 20 Imperial Navy Breachers, who can be built as a variety of specialists and gunners, or with a standard combat shotgun and hatchet. They are led by the 10 members of the Elucidian Starstriders – a Cartographica Rogue Trader, her personal entourage, a squad of Voidsmen, and a loyal Canid.

This box actually has a ton of minis inside, and we expect it to go for the $140 price point as there is just so much going on.

Will you be picking up any of the new Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols? What do you think of the value?
