There is a massive wave of Horus Heresy vehicles with new upgrade sprues hitting pre-order this week from Forge World- check out what you can score!
While they aren’t full new plastic kits like we wanted, it’s better than nothing, as they will have updated weapons for the game. However, with them being from Forge World, they will be quite expensive.
Warhammer Community unveiled the pre-order, and they should be shipped on 5/19/2023. Let’s hop into it!
Mastodon Super-Heavy Assault Transport: $610
The Mastodon is one of the heaviest assault transports in the arsenal of the Legiones Astartes, reserved for use against the most fortified positions. The Mastodon’s armoured transport bay can convey over forty Space Marines – or four Dreadnoughts – directly into the breach created by its siege melta array. Few fortifications can withstand this fearsome weapon, Legionaries passing through melted stone and steel to strike at the heart of the enemy.
Arquitor Bombard with Graviton-Charge Cannon: $175
The Legion Arquitor is a heavy artillery platform designed to operate at the forefront of a Legiones Astartes advance. Equipped with a reinforced chassis and brutal short range firepower, it is called upon to break the most stubborn of fortifications or to annihilate massed enemy infantry and armour. The graviton-charge cannon fires energised canisters that impact among the enemy ranks, emitting a graviton field that crushes delicate circuitry and electronics, disrupting the advance of anything that survives the barrage.
Arquitor Bombard with Morbus Heavy Bombard: $175
This multipart resin and plastic kit builds one Legion Arquitor, armed with a morbus bombard. This artillery piece grinds forward on raised tracks, its intimidating heavy cannon angled to launch shells skyward. The Arquitor’s hull, primary weapon, and sponson-mounted autocannons are all resin – it also comes with a variety of plastic sponson weapons, allowing you to replace the autocannons with heavy bolters, lascannons, heavy flamers, or volkite culverins. Both the morbus bombard and sponsons can be assembled without glue, allowing you to adjust their positioning mid-battle.
Arquitor Bombard with Spicula Rocket System: $175
Where some weapons rely on a single massive blast to eradicate their target, the spicula rocket system rains a barrage of unguided munitions across a whole area – suppressing whatever they don’t blow to pieces. This resin and plastic kit contains new vehicle sponsons, allowing every option on the Arquitor Bombard datasheet for the first time.
Deimos Pattern Damocles Command Rhino Upgrade Kit: $55
When walking is for squares and the only way to command is from the comfort of an armoured vehicle, discerning Praetors reach for the Damocles Command Rhino. It’s not just for style points – a powerful suite of sensors and augury scanners display an unparalleled view of the battle, allowing commanders to wield mighty armies with the deftness of a quill. This resin upgrade kit for the Deimos Pattern Rhino converts one vehicle into a Damocles Command Rhino.
Glaive Super-Heavy Special Weapons Tank: $355
Volkite weapons were a hallmark of the Horus Heresy, and one of the largest is carried on the Glaive Super-heavy Special Weapons Tank. The searing beam of death its volkite carronade projects can incinerate entire formations at once, while its supplemental lascannon arrays deal with hardened targets the volkite beam won’t scratch. This resin and plastic vehicle now comes with upgraded plastic sponson sprues, making it easier than ever to construct this powerful Lord of War to your own specifications.
Fellblade Super-Heavy Battle Tank: $355
Based on the same STC blueprint as the Baneblade, but upgraded with countless advanced technologies, the Fellblade was the premier super-heavy tank used by the Legiones Astartes. It packs enough weapons to deal with almost any enemy, with the distinctive bark of its twin accelerator cannon a common sound throughout the Age of Darkness. This resin and plastic vehicle now comes with upgraded plastic sponson sprues, making it easier than ever to construct this powerful Lord of War to your own specifications.
Falchion Super-Heavy Tank Destroyer: $355
Combining technologies from the Fellblade and the Shadowsword tanks, the Falchion Super-heavy Tank Destroyer is the final word in tracked Titan-killing power. Its enormous bulk carries two – yes, two – volcano cannons, each capable of punching a hole through a Warhound Titan. Its primary armament is the stuff of legends, and now with new plastic sponson sprues, it can put up a respectable fight even against targets too weak to warrant the power of a volcano cannon. This resin and plastic vehicle now comes with upgraded plastic sponson sprues, making it easier than ever to construct this powerful Lord of War to your own specifications.
Javelin Land Speeder: $118
Tear across the battlefield and strike key targets at lightning speed with the Javelin Land Speeder – the bigger, punchier cousin of the Space Marine classic. New plastic sponson options make this resin vehicle kit even more versatile, whether it’s chopping down infantry with a battery of heavy bolters or piercing the vulnerable side armour of vehicles with twin lascannons.
