If you thought last year was good, just wait until you see the winners of the 2023 Paint Pot Challenge by Morose Miniatures!
To give a small breakdown of what this challenge entails, this even culminated as a way to bring together wargamers for some good old creative fun.
The goal was to figure out some way to spruce up that old paint pot you had lying around into a fashionable mini.
While last year’s entries all looked great, this year’s winners really took it to that next level
Morose Miniatures Paint Pot Challenge 2023 Winners Announced!
First of all I wanted to say a big thank you to all of you for your enthusiasm and creativity. Your creations were incredible and collectively a real showcase of how amazing this community is. It was very difficult for us to choose.
So the winners of the #paintpotchallenge2023 are:
1st place : @grimdark_gravis_guy
2nd place : @battle_baron
3rd place : @drowsycobra
While there were a ton of submissions this year, they managed to whittle it down to three winners and an honorable mention. So without further ado, let’s hop right into it.
Honorable Mention: Robopot
This year the honorable mention spot was filled by @vistor_pesch_painting with his RoboPot entry. Part man, part machine, all pot. He nailed the execution on this one with the stand and background.
Third Place: A Tale of Greed, Temptation, and Despair
In 3rd place was @drowsycobra with his tale of greed, temptation, and despair. Talk about a picture saying a thousand words, huh? That ghoul is about to get a LOT more than he was bargaining for.
Second Place:
The second-place winner was @battle_baron with his wacky goblin contraption. What a way to take kitbashing to the extreme. I especially love the little pink footprints leading around the terrain.
2023 Paint Pot Challenge First Place:
Coming in as the first-place winner is @grimdark_gravis_guy, with his take on a Jokaero paint pot named Giuseppe. There is a backstory to the mini about its current conflict against Tyranids in the jungle, which is rather fitting for this big orange fella.
And that will do it for this year’s Paint Pot Challenge winners. It’s so exciting to see what everyone comes up with for their entries. This is one of those situations where the sky really is the limit for what you can achieve with a paint pot and a little bit of creativity.
