If you want to hunt down the enemies of the Cities of Sigmar with some vicious dogs, the Wildercorps Hunters are the ones to do it!
They had a pretty giant reveal of miniatures for the new Cities of Sigmar, but it looks like they aren’t stopping there. GW knows people love dogs, and this kit has some really mean-looking ones!
They also mention they can be used as their own Warcry warband, giving the kit some extra value.
We don’t have too much of summer left, so we’re bound to get the book before too long. Plus it’s always nice to see the new models ahead of the actual battletome. Let’s take a closer look at the miniatures!
The Wildercorps Hunters Bring Out the Dogs For the Cities of Sigmar!
The latest on the Cities of Sigmar Wildercorps Hunters miniatures come from Warhammer Community.
The Wildercorps Hunters are expert trackers, with an intimate knowledge of the rougher parts of the Mortal Realms. Often recruited from the Reclaimed – those peoples who survived for generations under the cruel lash of Chaos, while Azyr’s doors were closed – they’ve endured sickness, hunger, and inclement weather to hone their skills to a keen knife’s edge.
These new Wildercorps Hunters miniatures are really cool with a ton of detail, and of course, dogs!
Wildercorps squads are unparalleled in their ability to scout the environment for traps and sappers. They perform this surveillance with the aid of Trailhounds, legendarily bad-tempered dogs bred for keen senses and powerful jaws. They sniff out rival scouting parties and reconnoitre shady groves and clammy warrens where the Hunters can lie in wait.
If you need to scout out the enemy and harass them from the flanks, these will be perfect. Obviously, they aren’t super heavily armored but should be pretty useful with crossbows, and then the dogs should tear some people apart in combat.
New Wildercorps Hunters Age of Sigmar Rules
When armies clash, these hardy pioneers use their foreknowledge of the battlefield to remain effectively unseen by their enemies – as such, they can’t be targeted while they’re in cover or outside of 12″. All the while, they carefully train their arbalests on critical targets, aiming for vulnerable spots to confer an extra pip of Rend to their devastating ambushes.
This is quite a powerful rule, as they can shoot and not be shot back at as long as they stay in cover or are more than 12″ away. Then, they get extra Rend, so if you can keep them in cover, they are going to hit hard and be super hard to dislodge.
