The Lair of the Beast calls as the new Warhammer 40k Combat Arena has finally dropped over on the Barnes and Noble site!
From Necrons to massive beasts, it’s always exciting to see where the combat arena will take place. This time around, in addition to your other opponents, there’s a huge Ambull standing between you and sweet victory in the lair of the beast!
Although it was supposed to drop on the 26th of August, it’s here now, so let’s go ahead and take a look at it!
Combat Arena: Lair of the Beast Finally Drops at Barnes & Noble
Graceful aliens, sturdy robots, and genetically-enhanced super-soldiers have been tossed into an arena to fight to the death. To ensure maximum carnage, there’s also a massive, frenzied beast to take on! Team up with your rivals to eliminate the threat, but be careful… Only one champion can ultimately win the match.
Choose wisely from 10 unique fighters – will you opt for a deadly duellist, a pair of seasoned military grunts, or a religious zealot armed with fire and blind faith? Every fighter has their own strengths and weaknesses, and you’ll need to learn them all to survive. Will you focus on taking down the hulking Ambull and its ravenous spawn, or hang back and pick off your weakened adversaries one by one?
This Box Includes:
- A rulebook with background material about the fighters and the galaxy in which they live, assembly guides, 8 pages of game rules, and a variety of playing modes and missions to try out
- 13 models that can be built without the need for glue
- Everything you need to play – dice, cards, a game board, tokens, and profiles for each fighter Miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly. We recommend using Citadel Colour paints.
With fast-paced, brutal gameplay, anything can happen. You’ll need to stay on your toes – or get incredibly lucky – to win. Play with just one friend, or get four people together for an epic slugfest.
Games can be finished in about a half hour, which means you can get a few rounds in to try out different tricks, or get revenge.
