3rd Place: Quinton Johnson- Aeldari
2nd Place: Jack Harpster- Black Templars
1st Place: John Lennon- Tyranids
This list leaves almost all the small Tyrainds at home, with only 20 Gargoyles making up the battleline units. That seems to make sense, as this list takes advantage of the Synaptic Nexus Detachment.
The big guys are much faster than ground troops and can be decent for taking forward objectives. The list was led by a Hive Tyrant with a Heavy Venom Cannon and a Deathleaper to take out enemy characters or small units.
There was also plenty of heavy fire support with 3 Exocrines, a Biovore, and some Pyrovores.
As it says at the top of the list, think tank! It featured plenty of Maleceptors and Neurolictors to deal with the enemy’s melee and keep the big bugs firing while also being able to move forward and take all the objectives.
Rounding out the selections, John took 9 Zoanthropes to have plenty of anti-tank power that can also shield your backfield from deep striking and also give your army some Invulnerable saves.
Not to mention, they can deal Mortal Wounds, and with so many S12 shots, they should be able to take out tanks or kill a ton of Marines with their non-focused shots.
