Here are the latest Lord of the Rings releases and Black Library offerings available for pre-order next week!
Games Workshop has revealed all the new releases hitting pre-order this Saturday, December 2nd, at 1 PM Eastern time here in the States!
The stench… the guttural howls… the constant wet gnawing of rotten teeth on bone… welcome, esteemed personages, to the feast. The noble lords and ladies of the Summercourt are beginning their procession, as they carouse upon the eave of battle. Hark, the herald speaks.
GW Reveals New Lord of the Rings & Black Library Pre-Orders
The new LOTR and Black Library are up for pre-order next week; here are all the details from the Warhammer Community.
King of the Dead and Heralds (Clear Plastic) (Delayed in the US)
The King of the Dead returns to the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game in spectral translucent blue plastic, flanked by two Heralds brandishing Banners of the Dead. This is a recast of the current models, taking on an even more ghostly form as they bring ruin to the forces of Mordor.
These models are sweet and are unique clear plastic, meaning you might not even have to paint them if you didn’t want to!
Warriors of the Dead (Clear Plastic) (Delayed in the US)
What good is a king without his army? This set contains 20 Warriors of the Dead cast in the same clear blue plastic, ready to attend their king and sweep across Pelennor Fields. These are also existing miniatures which have been recast for a ghostly effect.
Both of these clear plastic kits will be available while stocks last.
Pair this up with the king above and you’ll have a unique force on the battlefield. Just remember these are only available while supplies last and they are delayed for the US.
Vaults of Terra Collection (special edition)
Chris Wraight’s thrilling trilogy about corruption at the very heart of Humanity’s home world is getting a luxuriant special edition. Limited to just 1,500 copies signed by the author, all three volumes are collected in a fancy slipcase with leather-effect covers, ribbon bookmarks, and an extra short story in each.
If you want this, hop on it quick as these limited editions always sell out fast.
Witchbringer and Blood Pact (MP3)
Two more classic titles come to MP3 audiobook for the first time. In Steven B Fischer’s Witchbringer, former Cadian Captain Glavia Aerand’s newfound psychic talents press her into more hazardous service, while Commissar Gaunt and the Tanith First and Only are back in action in Blood Pact by Dan Abnett. Additionally, the Damocles collection of short stories has been re-recorded.
Audio Books are always great to absorb lore and stories while keep your hands free and doing something else!
Black Library Advent eShorts 2023
The ever-popular Black Library Advent Calendar returns this December, publishing one short story every two days in the run-up to Christmas. There are 12 stories in total, from luminaries such as Adrian Tchaikovsky, Nate Crowley, and Mike Brooks, telling tales from all the worlds of Warhammer.
