NOTTINGHAM 40K SUPER-MAJOR top 8Note: Necrons got FAQ nerfed, so they are very different from what they were at this event, and we’ve been seeing Eldar all the time for months on end so that we will be ignoring those two factions here!

3rd Place: Jonathan Partridge – Tyranids

Jonathan Partridge 1

A Deathleaper led Jonathan’s Tyranid list for a big solo melee threat, a Broodlord to help buff up a unit of Genestealers it leads, and a Hive Tyrant, which allows nearby units to shoot after advancing and is a solid body itself!

Battleline saw 30 Termagants for some standard cheap bodies. There were also two units of Genestealers to act as some melee models, and a Biovore added a hint of heavy weapons fire that has some tricks, too.

Two Pyrovores bring in some “flamers” that excel at wiping out many small weak models. Three Raveners are for fast deep strikers with solid weapons, while three Tyrant Guards are for slower but more durable melee threats. Last, before some big monsters, there is a unit of Zoanthropes for some solid Auras to help your nearby models and even some mortal wound output.

For some bigger monsters, there are three Exocrines for great ranged shots and even giving re-rolls to units after they shoot. A Haruspex adds another fantastic melee threat, and a Trygon closes the list out with another great hybrid model that can do it all.
