FLG is Making Big Changes to Warhammer Tournaments

warhammer 40k leviathan wal horFrontline Gaming is updating its procedures for all Warhammer tournaments to include penalties for poor sportsmanship and cheating.

There is more than just the changing of anti-cheat measures; if you’re attending any of their events in the coming months, there will also be some changes to painting. We think this will give the tournaments a larger appeal because nobody likes getting cheated!  Here are all the new exciting updates that are sure to make FLG tournaments even more enjoyable for all participants!

Frontline Gaming Updating Procedures For All Its Tournaments

Here is the latest on the changes from FLG.

LVO 2024Let’s look at the anti-cheating and sportsmanship changes first:

Frontline Gaming sets the bar for Warhammer events. In keeping with our dedication to this standard we are implementing the following procedures:

1) Elements of cheating, poor sportsmanship, and inappropriate behavior will be immediately penalized at FLG events. Prior offenders will be asked not to attend our events for a period of time at our discretion.

Look, if you’re cheating at a tournament (or just being downright terrible to play against), we don’t want to play against you! While they don’t say a definitive time here, that’s probably so they can decide how long to ban someone, depending on the severity of the cheating or poor sportsmanship. This is also retroactive, as they may now ask prior offenders not to attend events. Either way, this should also stop more known and potential cheats from attending events, which, again, is a plus.

2) Hobby standards will be enforced at FLG events, and the traditional “3 color minimum” will evolve to be the “Battle Ready” standard at events later this year***.

They will be implementing the GW standard for Battle Ready (pictured above) and moving away from the three-color minimum. This should make the games look better and allow people to spend some more time on their armies and not just whip up the best army list of the day. Just keep in mind that this will only apply to Warhammer tournaments, other events will use their own guidelines.

In conclusion, Frontline Gaming’s decision to update its procedures for all Warhammer tournaments is a positive step towards ensuring fair play and an enjoyable gaming experience for everyone. These changes are sure to make the FLG events even more exciting and appealing to players. If you’re a Warhammer hobbyist, be sure to check out their upcoming events and see these changes in action!
