These are some of our favorite Warhammer 40k armies from the Long War Doubles tournament we held at AdeptiCon 2024!
Adepticon has players from all over the country stop in and show off their most beautifully painted armies. On the Long War 40k Doubles side, they put in a ton of work and made some awesome displays for the tournament!

Necrons
The Necrons teamed up with themselves in this army, totally illuminated by green! Which is about as Necrony as you can get; just look at that glow.
Space Marines & Sisters of Battle
This is a pretty classic team-up, and where one fails, the other steps up! If you’re fighting both the Sisters and the Space Marines, your chances are not good.
Orks & Grots (Don’t Forget the Little Guys!)
This team-up featured plenty of Gretchin and Grot vehicles because they are the coolest part of Orks. If you disagree, you know deep down in your heart who is cooler.
Space Marines
This is a Space Marine chapter truly showing out, with plenty of flyers, tanks, and Marines! We would not want to be the ones facing such a force.
Dark Angels & Death Guard
While they are mortal enemies, and the display board really shows it, they are teaming up to take down other teams at AdeptiCon!
Orks
The Orks really showed out in force at the doubles event this year, and these Greenskins have taken over an entire mountain!
Tyranids & Space Marines
Tyranids and Space Marines are classic enemies, and this display board really shows off the chaos of Leviathan!
Night Lords & World Eaters
Ah, the classic 40k store, Blood, Bath, & Beyond! These two make a pretty striking team, and with the black and white board, they really stood out.
Leagues of Votann
The Leagues teamed up with themselves this time around, but that’s only fair. They don’t need other races interfering with their business!
Classic Necrons
This is an awesome display board, as they have tons of really classic Necron models, but then the classic arcade games to go with them!
World Eaters & Chaos Knights
This is a great combo, as the bone armor works great for both armies! Plus, they both love to get stuck in, and there is plenty of gore to go all around.
Overall, these Long War armies on display at Adepticon 2024 are as stunning and awe-inspiring as ever. These hobbyists all deserve recognition for their incredible attention to detail and thematic choices. We hope to see more fantastic double armies like these in the future, and we can’t wait to see what the next AdeptiCon has in store, as well!
