Las Vegas Open: January 2025
LVO is one of the best events every year, with tons of games, previews, and so much more! The convention will return to Rio in 2025, and tickets normally go up for sale the summer before.
Cherokee Open– February 2025
Veteran gamers from all walks of life say that the Cherokee Open is their absolute favorite event of the year, and it’s easy to see why. This retreat-style shindig perfectly marries Warhammer tournament community vibes with fierce competition, making for an epic weekend of fun!
Nestled in the gorgeous Smoky Mountains on the Cherokee Reservation, this event is the ultimate weekend escape. When you’re not rolling dice, you and your crew can kick back and enjoy the resort’s many delights – from bowling alleys and bars to a cozy fireside patio, a massive casino, and a smorgasbord of dining options.
AdeptiCon- March 2025
AdeptiCon is one of the biggest tabletop gaming conventions out there, and it grew 20% from 2023 to 2024, so it’s time for a move. Illinois will no longer host the convention, as a move up in size from the current convention center doesn’t seem feasible to stay there.
However, it’s not too far of a move, and going to a new city will be a fun change of pace. Most of the GW games sell out very quickly, especially the Warhammer 40k tournaments, so if you want to play any of them, get them early and don’t wait!
Rocky Mountain Open– March 2025
The Rocky Mountain Open is following the lead of Frontline Gaming’s fan-favorite, the SoCal Open, by being hosted at a fairgrounds complex away from the city chaos. This spot is the perfect getaway and gives plenty of room for the event to grow year after year.
The Adams County Fairground was handpicked for its comfy Exhibit Hall and top-notch facilities, plus it’s just under 20 minutes from Denver International Airport. Attendees can dodge all that notorious city traffic to get into the Warhammer tournament mindset.
Bay Area Open– May 2025
The Bay Area Open is like the granddaddy of all events for Frontline Gaming, the one that kicked everything off. If you want to spend time near the beach, get in some gaming, and get your hobby fix, you can’t go wrong with the BAO!
The ATC Circuit
The ATC tournaments are always so much fun! If you want to play some Warhammer tournament team games with your friends, these are the best ones we’ve found. They have one coming up in April, so if you want to play a big event, be sure to grab your tickets before they are gone!
Atlantic City Open– June 2025
The ACO is FLG’s big East Coast bash. With its stunning hall, swanky casino resort, and iconic Atlantic City beachside boardwalk, this is a weekend that’ll be etched in your memory! The Atlantic City Open takes place at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center, right next to Harrah’s Atlantic City Resort and Casino.
The resort has it all—an amazing pool, numerous bars, and restaurants, and it’s just a short drive from the famous Atlantic City Beach. Plus, the Harrah’s Hotel is conveniently attached to the convention center for the Warhammer tournaments in 2024-25!
NATC Championship– July 2025
This is the big event for ATC every year! It always takes place in July, and it’s super fun, with a ton of games to play! You can’t miss this event if you want to bring some hobby friends and play games! Tickets are available now, so grab yours before they are gone!
The NOVA Open- August into September 2025
If you live in the Northeastern US, this is a great event with a ton of different games represented! This year, the event will take place from August 28th to September 1st. Tickets are already on sale, and some games have sold out, so don’t wait any longer to lock in your Warhammer tournament.

Here is the latest on Games Workshop’s US Open Warhammer 40k and AoS tournaments series for 2024-25.
The US Open Series is bringing the heat with action-packed Warhammer tournaments at stops in Dallas, TX; Tacoma, WA; Tampa, FL; and Atlanta, GA, in 2024. The Grand Narrative and the epic World Championships of Warhammer finals will happen in Atlanta, uniting top players from around the globe.
2024 US Open Warhammer 40k Premium Swag Bag: Hit or Miss?

Let’s talk about the much-anticipated Games Workshop US Open 2024 poker chip—oops, I mean, premium swag bag! It seems the bag got as many critiques as cheers this year. While every Warhammer 40k fan loves some free loot, some hobbyists were less than impressed by the offerings.
So, what exactly came in the bag? Plastic wound markers and magnetic MDF rulers (which needed replacing due to manufacturing mishaps), a metal 3″ ruler, four small deployment markers, and… leftover coins from Texas. Sure, the coins are cool—if you actually attended that Texas event.
But for those who didn’t, they felt a bit, well, misplaced. Then there’s the Skaven pin, which might excite Age of Sigmar fans but feels out of place in a 40k narrative-focused event. Add some stickers to round it out, and you’ve got a swag bag that left some attendees scratching their heads.
To soften the blow, it’s rumored that dissatisfied attendees scored exclusive Steel Rook and Hunter Strikes commemorative models. So, while the bag itself might not have been groundbreaking, the added bonus models may have salvaged the experience for some.
The verdict? Cool collectibles, but Games Workshop’s 2024 US Open swag bag might need a critical hit roll next year.

Games Workshop hasn’t announced all the qualifiers yet, but if you’re running a tournament this year, you can apply to have your event be a qualifier here! Last year, there were over 75 qualifying events, and they say this year will be even bigger!
