Victoria Miniatures is always coming out with some of the coolest bits and hand-crafted minis on the market. If you’ve been looking for a way to set your army apart, especially Imperial Guard or any human army, you really need to look at them.

This is their third Kickstarter, and the other two hit all kinds of stretch goals, so we expect this one to be no different. Regardless, if you want some of the coolest Rough Riders alternatives we’ve ever seen, don’t wait around on this project!

The Digital Mega Bundle includes supported and unsupported versions of every component in Project Warhorse, including all horses, riders, bases and any extra bits that may be added during the campaign.

Project Warhorse Rough Rider 6On the physical side of things, they have a ton of different regiments represented, which is nice considering from GW; you can only get one!

The miniatures in Project Warhorse are 32mm, the same size as the new plastic ‘Grimdark’ Guardsmen. You can also swap the heads and arms between them. If you choose the Digital Mega Bundle, you can of course, print your miniatures any size you want.

Each physical Squad includes 5x Horses, 5x riders, 5x laser rifles in holsters, 5x left arms holding reins, 3x right arms with crack lances, 2x right arms with fusion lances, 1x right arm with shock lance, 1x right arm with officer’s sabre and 5x 60mm oval bases.

Individual Units

Rough Riders KSIf you’re going for individual units, each will run approximately $50. While it’s not the cheapest, they are hand-crafted resin and still cheaper than the ones from a certain bigger company. As you can see above, you can grab any of the different regiments as individual purchases.

Each Physical Company includes 6x 5 Rider Squads from a single regiment, making a formidable 30 rider total. This is an excellent value option for those Commanders wanting to max out their Rough Rider forces.
