RUMORS: 40k Chaos Yeti Spotted With Space Wolves

space wolves walpaper wulfen horYes, We’re serious. A Chaos Yeti might have been spotted within the previews of the coming 9th Edition Space Wolf codex…

Hidden within the short previews flexing the new Space Wolf codex that’s on the way, there was a short camera panning that might have captured a piece of what we can only vaguely guess may be a Chaos Yeti.

It sounds crazy but look for yourself…

EDITOR’S NOTE: Thanks to eagle-eyed readers, this has since been debunked as a small terrain piece that originated from Kill Team’s Dolorious Strain and Urban Conquest bundles.

Chaos Yeti Spotted in Space Wolf Codex Preview?

We’ve got the full video from WarhammerTV if you want to check it out. Just remember, it’s very quick and easy to miss.

new bit space wolvesLike normal Yeti sightings, the camera is out of focus. But if you look closely, the Space Wolves are facing off against something with white fur and an old sword.

new bit space wolves 2The white fur is easy to miss in the snowy display, but you can see something clearly standing above the base of the Space Wolves. From the orientation, it looks like the back of whatever this thing is is facing us. It’s holding a sword in its left hand and has what looks to potentially be a Chaos eight-points symbol sticking out of its neck.

Bottom line, it looks like the GW team put two factions against each other and purposely cropped just enough out of this mystery figure to have us scratch our heads. It’s easily replicable. Just look at this past army display.

GW Sets Up Models Like This All the Time

With all of this now on the table, what do you think is on the way to 40k? Will there be some kind of Chaos Yetis that Space Wolves have to kick off Fenris, or is this just a weird crop of something already existing?
