marine 40k 8th edition space wal horThere’s a brand new rumor claiming to be the release schedule for brand new codex books. Come find out when your favorite faction might be getting updated.

The new rumor was spotted on 4chan and, if it’s true, we’re getting rules updates in the form of a codex a lot sooner than some people expected.

Let’s take a the supposed release schedule.

This is a rumor so don’t forget to add salt… A little extra on this one might not be a bad idea…

UPDATE one site is saying these rumors may or may not be true altogether:

UPDATE: I have been told that not only is the timeline here inaccurate, not all of these are or will be codexes.

40K Release Schedule

July

  • Primaris
  • Death Guard

August

  • Aeldari
  • Astra Militarum

September

  • Sisters of Battle
  • Chaos Marines

October

  • Daemons
  • Thousand Sons

The new rumor has new codex books coming out in July for the Primaris and Death Guard. This isn’t a far reach being they were the first armies released for 8th edition, but July seems really fast after the release. If this is the case, the next couple of months are going to be a busy one for Games Workshop, and we won’t have to wait long to see the favored codex books. Games Workshop claimed you won’t need nearly as many books to play a game of Warhammer, but is this the start of that dark road again?

What do you think about the latest rumor? Is it too soon to be releasing new codex books? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

I’m a huge fan of anything tabletop. I play strictly Chaos in Warhammer, and Imperial in anything Star Wars. I spent 8 years in the military. Now I’m happy to be a civilian working with a great group of people.
