Come take a look at next month’s White Dwarf and get an idea of what’s going to be inside the new Shadespire box set
October’s White Dwarf cover was spotter on on Miniwars, and it looks like we’re going to be seeing a lot about the new Warhammer Underworld: Shadespire.
New Death Guard are also en-route, you can get the latest from the OCT White Dwarf here.
There’s been a lot of teasers put out by Games Workshop, as well as demos for people that attended different cons over the past couple months. But we’re getting our first look at all the contents in the miniwargaming unboxing.
Looks like the base game will cost $69.99
The latest teaser from Games Workshop is gave us a look at some of what we already knew, and some of what we didn’t.
Breaking news from Shadespire today.
Literally. We have a great new piece of art to show you, depicting some of the warring factions within the city reflected in a fractured mirror, including a few new surprises…
The city of Shadespire draws treasure hunters from near and far in search of Shadeglass, while many more simply find themselves trapped in its haunted labyrinths by pure misfortune.
As well as the Stormcast Eternals, who hunt Shadeglass as a means to surviving their Reforging with their memories and personality intact, and the Khorne Bloodbound who are, understandably, overjoyed by a city where they can shed blood for eternity, Shadespire is fought over by many types of warbands. Two of these we’ve seen already in the form of the brutal Orruks and the undying Deathrattle of the Sepulchral Guard.
While the four grand alliances are already represented, that certainly isn’t everyone; here’s a sneak peek through the Shadeglass at who else we might expect to meet in the eternal arenas of the Shadespire.
Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire will be released next month.
We’re seeing a lot of different factions in the broken glass of this window. Khorne, Death, Stormcast, Skaven, Orruks, and Fyreslayers can all be seen ready for battle.
Games Workshop also gave some lucky people the chance to demo the new game at GenCon, but they also gave us a breakdown on their site recently as well:
If you want to try Shadespire for yourself, you won’t have to wait long – the Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire core box will be available to order next month, with the first of the warband expansions on shelves in November. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping you up to date with the latest news, insights and more right here on Warhammer Community.
Tactics and strategy seem like they’re going to play a bigger part rather than luck of the dice in the new Shadespire game. We have a pre-order window of next month some time with the first expansions coming out in November. We’re looking forward to learning more from Games Workshop about the new arena-combat game. Make sure you check back in with us, we’ll be putting out the updates as soon as we get them.
