Custodes Annihilator Grav Tank Unboxing & Review

Custodes Caladius Annihilator

Need some serious firepower for your growing legion of Custodes? Those masterminds at Forge World have another amazing model the ranks of the Custodes, the Caladius Annihilator Grav Tank !

Welcome back 40K fanatics! Today Rob is unboxing the killer new Adeptus Custodes Caladius Annihilator Grav Tank from Forge World!

Based upon the technology of the Coronus Grav-carrier, the smaller Caladius grav-tank is designed to utilise the firepower afforded by the heaviest elements of the Legio Custodes’ arsenal on a highly mobile, protected platform. Given the fusion of advanced systems and weapons, the Caladius is perhaps the most powerful battleline armoured unit of its size in the Imperium’s forces, utilising technologies and materials derived not only from the Dark Age of Technology, but from developments made as a result of the Great Crusade’s two centuries of warfare.

A particularly powerful variant was the ‘Caladius-Annihilator’ which featured an enhanced capacitor-fed Arachnus blaze cannon potent that is enough to pose a threat even to super-heavy armour.

Perhaps the best part is that Games Workshop seemed to hint at the fact that the Legio Custodes models from their 30k Horus Heresy would be getting rules in 40k now, alongside their plastic cousins and their new offerings in 8th Edition.

Finally, if you’ve already got a sizeable collection of  Forge World Legio Custodes, rules are on their way for you to use your favourite units in Warhammer 40,000, in addition to the huge range of new plastic kits.

Back to the review, the monstrous Arachnis Blaze cannon enables this Caladius variant to threaten even the heaviest armored units on the tabletop.  No longer do you have to commit your pricey Custodes models to melee or rely on allies like Imperial Knights to handle the toughest targets the battlefields of the 41st Millennium can bear!
