Today we’re seeing some new images floating around of what appears to be a new Necron themed standalone game. You’re not going to want to miss this!
The year of the Xenos is indeed upon us, and Necron fans might not have to wait much longer to get some love. This was just spotted over on Dakka Dakka of what looks to be a new game called Labrinth of the Necrons.
Let’s take a look at the new images and see what the poster, Grimgold, had to say about them.
Don’t have much yet, just two shots from someones twitter, but looks like necrons vs. Salamanders(?)
The money shot as it were the other is just showing off an overlord.
Since we got the leak, I imagine we’ll see more info on it in the next few days. The cards match the models shown, 4 warriors, 2 immortals, 1 lychguard and 1 overlord. The marine on the cover is in green armor, with a flamer and a lizard scale loin cloth, so salamanders seems confirmed. The cover also includes a wraith but we don’t see a card for that, so i suspect we are only seeing a little of what’s contained.
It really looks like we’ll be seeing the Labyrinth of the Necrons standalone game in the near future. The game looks like it’s going to be played on a tiled board, some kind of team format for your armies, and feature plenty of game aides. In the closeup picture of the Lord, you can kind of make out three different Space Marine factions; the Ultramarines, Salamanders, and Blood Angels. Does this mean all three will be included in the box? Or is it just simply rules for you to use with your pre-existing minis.
This is the first we’ve seen or heard of the Labyrinth of the Necrons so we can’t confirm or deny anything for sure yet. It may, however, be one of many products Games Workshop was showcasing this weekend at the Toy Fair of New York where they are set up currently.
Make sure you’re checking back in with us for the latest updates, we’ll be putting them out as soon as we get them. What do you think about the latest images? Are you looking forward to a Necron based game?
