Harlequins are dropping out of the webway next week, as Games Workshop just revealed their late May pre-order releases Warhammer 40k.

GW just gave a teaser on the latest Eldar releases for the Harlequins that are due to go on order this Saturday and a rules preview for them as well.

In the codex, you’ll find some of our most unusual faction rules ever with the Masque Forms, from the sinister morale-manipulating powers of the Silent Shroud to the warriors of the Dreaming Shadow – who turn death itself to their advantage:

Well even though Soulburst isn’t as much of a thing these days, it looks like you can still have a chance to deal damage from death in the new codex. If this new blanket rule is any indicator of the kind of rules we may see from the Harlequins, all the other factions out there better beware.

The Aeldari Webway Gate is HUGE – you’ll be able to comfortably fit a Wraithknight between the two halves. You may be wondering how you add this piece of terrain to your games. We’re keen to make sure that every Aeldari army gets access to the Webway Gate, and so, as well as finding rules and matched play points in Codex: Harlequins, you’ll also be able to find the datasheet in the box.

You’ll be able to add a Webway Gate to your Drukhari, Craftworlds and Harlequins armies, and you can use it in-game to deploy your units up close to enemy lines – imagine using it to drop in a clutch of Talos Pain Engines, or a pack of Howling Banshees…

More tactical flexibility is on the way as well with the new terrain piece, which we already know to be $40 retail, and have some rumored rules for it as well:

Codex Harlequins :
– There will be a Portal Fortification, 120Pts Not under 14HP 3+ 5++ T8, that you will set everywhere on the table but more than 12inch of enemy and more than 6 inch of objective, that will give the possibility to ds units from it, with a strat similar to necron if he is destroyed you can set them. After the portal is destroyed unit are not forced to be more than 9’’ to the enemy. Strongly implied that this unit will be available to aeldari.
– A warptime spell for Harlequin unit

Plus we have also been hearing that the Imperial Knight codex will have at least four new releases with a new terrain set as well to accompany three new knight kits.  Look for the new walkers by the middle of June.

What do you think about the latest on the next two releases for Warhammer 40k (both confirmed and unconfirmed)? Which are you ready to spend your hobby dollars on if, and when they hit store shelves?
