Street Savvy Hotshot: Star Wars Destiny

Qi'ra Destiny

Qi’ra has just arrived in Destiny and she will be blending the dark and the light…Or at least staying on the in-between path. As a neutral character, she can be included in any deck. She also has the interesting character ability to be able to include Yellow hero and villain cards in her deck.

If you go the purely neutral character route, you will have a plethora of options to choose from. She is no slouch either. With her powerful character die, featuring two ranged, three ranged for a resource, one discard, one resource, and +two resource. She nearly mimics the old Awakening version of Han Solo. But her companion is the new Han hotness! Han Solo: Star Wars Destiny

Han Solo is an independent hotshot that is also following the neutral path with Qi’ra. His two ranged sides can be paired nicely with Qi’ra’s character dice.  Han Solo’s one discard and one resource work well for keeping the enemy guessing and financing his operations.

His special ability goes great with Qi’ra bringing in hero and villain cards for him to work with. When you resolve his special, you may deal two indirect damage to an opponent. If you reveal a villain card from you hard, you can force that opponent to lose a resource. You may also reveal a hero card to gain one resource. A nifty way to get Han and Qi’ra flowing with synergy.

New Cards Entering Star Wars Destiny

no allegiance destiney

An impressive new Plot card to enter Destiny is No Allegiance. This plot actually reduces the cost of your team by 1 and gives your characters +1 health, the only stipulation being that your characters must be neutral. This works fantastically with elite Han and elite Qi’ra for the perfect neutral team.

Bait and Switch

With the plethora of resource sides on Han and Qi’ra’s dice, Bait and Switch will work nicely. This zero cost Yellow villain card gives you ambush and allows you to change one of your dice showing a resource to any side. This can set up a big turn of ranged damage or go all in on a discard strategy.

Never Tell Me The Odds

A fantastic Yellow hero card that you can use with Han and Qi’ra is Never Tell Me the Odds. This three cost event allows you to choose one of your Yellow characters and turn any number of their dice to sides of your choice. This can really get your dice going where they need to be.

Looks like this duo of characters have some fantastic cards and abilities to springboard off of each other in-game!
