Sorry 40k players, the best game you may not be playing right now just got an FAQ update as Games Workshop clarified a few things for Adeptus Titanicus!
Warhammer Community dropped an FAQ on Adeptus Titanicus. While we’ve all been waiting on April’s anticipated 40k FAQ, they’ve hit us with some changes coming to our mini Titans.
We’ll be picking out a few of the changes and talking them through. But remember to make sure you check out the full FAQ yourself. There might be a couple of changes that affect the specific way you play.
Big FAQ on Tiny Titans
FAQ Updated to Optional Attacking
Old Wording of Combat Sequence
Old Wording changed on step #6 from (each remaining weapon) to (You wish to attack with).
One of the biggest changes we’ve seen is at the top of the list. The old wording said that Titans MUST attack with all of their weapons. Now, in the combat sequence, you’re able to pick and choose what weapons you want to shoot/hit with. Thanks to the special keyword MAY attack with all of its weapons, we’ll be able to avoid overloading our reactors and hurting our Titans in the process if we don’t want to.
Taking Multiple Hits on Your Weapon
Just to clarify, if you get punished by a volley of punches or shots that would disable your weapon more than once. subsequent hits to the weapon don’t make it detonate. This helps to keep your Titan from getting hammered too quickly.
An Errata to Titandeath
If you’re playing with Tiger Eyes Titans, you may want to look at how your wording changed. This is the only errata towards Titandeath but there’s a couple of frequently asked questions on the book as well.
Stratagems & Scoring
As for some clarification on Breakthrough Tertiary Objective, you’ll be scoring a point for each unit wish scale 5 or more. Remember that you do this at the end of the battle.
Finally, if you wanted a quick reference on the Engage and Destroy mission, the table of victory points to Scale is found above.
While we highlighted some of the key points, make sure you go to the page yourself and read over everything. There’s a lot of information to digest.
What do you think about the changes to Titanicus? Will Titans play more tactically now that we don’t have to shoot all of our weapons? Did shooting just get a lot better in the game? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
