We are getting more and more Warcry previews as we inch closer to its release. Check out the first look at a datasheet for a unit in the game!
Warcry is a skirmish game based around the Age of Sigmar universe. Warbands are called to one area and fight for Archaon against one another. We’ve seen all of the models, but now we’ve got a first look at a datasheet.
Warcry’s First Unit Datasheet Revealed
Similar in style to the Warhammer Underworlds character cards, Warhammer Community gave us a deeper look into an Iron Golem model. Breaking down the card, each fighter will have different attack options based off of whatever weapons it’s carrying.
Warcry is going to be a points-based game (the Iron Golem fighter in the picture costs 125) and everything will have a range, attack, strength, Toughness, damage, and wounds characteristic.
The fighter in the picture comes with a whopping 15 wounds. Our guess is that the game will just naturally have a higher wounds count.
#13 on the datasheet is a Runemark. Looking at another picture previewed, the same Runemark appears on a card filled with special attacks. Certain moves may be locked to fighters based on their Runemarks in-game.
With finally getting a deeper look at Warcry, we can get a better idea of how the game will be played. This preview definitely raised more questions. However, it looks like it will be a happy blend of melee warfare, Kill Team, and Warhammer Underworlds rolled into one.
It’s also worth noting that the terrain inside the game will be completely modular. You’ll be able to build blasted skirmish sites completely unique to each game. With that said, it’ll be very surprising if we don’t see more terrain expansions for the game release in the future past the first release.
