Warhammer Community previewed a new wave of rules just around the corner for the Ultramarines. From bonus rules springing off of Doctrines to relics and Psychic Powers, these guys are going to be shaken up!
Check out the latest on new rules and points for Guilliman, Tiggy, and more:
First, off the points for the new Characters have been spotted, and the are pretty spicy. Keep in mind in the base Space Marine codex there rumored to be are NO special character datasheets now!

Guilliman had gone down- more on that later, and Tiggy only increased 15 points for +1 wound and attack plus all his other goodies does not seem too bad at all!
Also remember Marines, in general, will be fundamentally different now that Drop Pods can land on turn 1:
This model and any units embarked aboard it are EXEMPT from the Tactical Reserves matched play rule.
Roboute Guilliman
Big little changes here for Bobby G. First off he’s 350 per above which is nice (don’t from 400). Check out the wording on re-rolls now. No more tricky math to apply modifiers. Just like we saw with Captain Angelus, looks like a universal change to re-roll wording is coming for ease of play. He also no longer re-rolls all wounds, just 1’s.
It also can make a further case for now running Marneus, and say a lieutenant instead of Booby G for points savings.
Chaplain Cassius
Knows two Litanies of Hate instead of one. (paging all Dark Angels players…)
Sgt Chronos:
Can go inside any normal SM vehicle (not primaris) and it hits on 2+ regardless of wounds.
Tigurius:
So he is now 130 points. Looking at his new Stat line, it looks like all crossing the Rubicon Primaris did for him was give him an extra wound and attack. However, his special hood and staff will still be doing work! He also gets the bonus to deny at the full range now and +1 to cast as well.
That’s a great look at the larger changes for the new special characters for the Ultras!

All in all, Ultramarines are looking to be in an even better position in the meta! We still have to see all of the new Stratagems, Warlord Traits, points cost, etc. for the Chapter. But they could still be the reigning Chapter champ!
