Chaos Slaves to Darkness are ready to hit the shelves with all-new models and more. Check out this close-up look at their new sculpts for Age of Sigmar!

Slaves to Darkness have needed some help for a while. We haven’t seen any new rules coming to the faction just yet. However, these new models are definitely a step in the right direction. Check out the latest from Warhammer Community.

A Closer Look at the New Slaves to Darkness Models

Slaves to darkness start collecting

At first, all we really had to go off was the cover of this new Slaves to Darkness Start Collecting. Based on short snippets of video previews, it was hard to tell all of the customization and detail coming to the faction’s new model line.

One of the coolest models coming inside the box is the mounted Chaos Lord on Karkadrak. While the mount’s name sounds a bit like someone clearing their throat, this mini is definitely the medieval Lord Discordant that we never knew we wanted.

There Are Tons of Customization Options Coming

Old Slaves to Darkness Warriors

Re-sculpted Chaos Warriors

While the old models were cool, they had sort of a “rock’em sock’em robot-pose” vibe going on with their arms at their sides and having a completely bent elbow holding up their weapon. The new Chaos Warriors are MUCH more dynamic and are coming in hot with a ton of customization options and details.

slaves to darkness heads 1

These are probably the best heads we’ve seen with tons of detail on the face. While it takes a steady hand, a magnifying glass, and a small bristle brush to capture all the detail, it’s nice to at least have the option of going into hyper-detail on the face.

If you like the helmeted versions better, there are plenty of horn/visor variations to choose from. Even with their faces completely hidden in these helmets, the amount of detail coming on each bit makes them look like a character in their own right.

The poses in this kit are designed to maximise character and dynamism, while still fitting in alongside your existing Chaos Warriors, making it easy to expand and blend your collection.

slaves to darkness chaos knight

Looking at a close-up of a single Chaos Knight, these guys are looking incredible as well. Between the skull armor for their horse and a LOTR-style flail, these dudes are going to look incredible en-masse.

Helmet Option For the Mounted Chaos Lord

And lastly, the Chaos Lord. If you’re not a fan of all the spikes growing out of his head, you can give him one of the cooler helmets of the bunch. With a Teutonic-Knight sort of look, there’s no mistake that he’s the frontline leader out of your fighting force.

slaves to darkness endless spells

It also looks like their faction support isn’t just stopping at reworked minis. They’re also getting brand new Endless Spells that all have something to do with the classic Chaos undivided symbol.

While we wait for their rules to be uncovered, how are you going to build your Slaves to Darkness army? Will it be themed around heavy cavalry? Or will you have rank after rank of Warrior on foot?
